Hope Tech Youth’s mission is community development through inspiring our youth to think creatively. Our vision is to have youth come together to find solutions to community problems in their neighborhoods. We want to help students recognize community problems and plant the seed that they can be a part of the solution.

Why the name “Innovation Engine”?

The name is inspired by how an engine operates. An engine is multiple moving parts that converts power into movement. We would love the community to come together as different moving parts to help propel the advancement of the community together.

Summary of admission requirements and program details

  • Student must have successfully completed Innovation Challenge 1 and 2 and must submit an application to join the Innovation Engine.

  • Once accepted, students will design and develop a game addressing community needs with their team. The goal is to solve community needs through their game and provide an artistic expression on addressing these challenges.

  • The Innovation Engine is only available to High School students at this time.
